  1. A Serb is a member of Yugoslavia's largest 
  2. ethnic group, found mainly in Serbia, but 
  3. also in the neighbouring independent 
  4. republics of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia. 
  5. Their language, generally recognized to be 
  6. the same as Croat and hence known as 
  7. Serbo-Croatian, belongs to the Slavic branch 
  8. of the Indo-European family.
